Photographers Studio

Jan 20, 2014 | Design Portfolio, Residential Projects

I love working with other artists!  I was commissioned by this photographer to design an inspiring studio/office.  The existing space was two smaller rooms with a standard 9 ft. ceiling.  The two rooms were combined, and to add volume and architectural interest, I opened up the ceiling and put in spiral duct and milk washed beams for the lofty affect.  The lighting fills in the negative space and brings down your eye so that the space does not become too cold. The gorgeous velvets  and the wallpaper are Designers Guild. The vintage cameras and typewriters have been collected by the photographer.  The gorgeous images are of the photographers beautiful young daughter.  I think we have achieved an amazing, inspiring environment in which to create!
