Alameda Flea Market

We just spent the past week in San Francisco moving my youngest daughter Talia (more on that later in my next post). We had so much fun working on her apartment, much of which was plucked out of the piles at the Alameda flea market. I can not recommend it enough. It is an Interior Designers paradise, but great for the amateur as well. The market is very well organized as compared to most, with very neat aisles that are marked with a letter. This helps dramatically when you want to head back to a vendor. The pricing was pretty good, and of course I never pay exactly what is marked. There were many gourmet food trucks that were crystal clean (a must for my paranoid self), and even healthy, vegetarian choices. We decided on the buckwheat crepes. They were amazing, though I think Talia selected crepes because she thought the young French man making them was really cute – and he was overtly flirting with her! Next post I will show you the finished apartment!
