I can not imagine living anywhere without the magic of the changing seasons. As designers, we draw inspiration from anything and everything visual. Autumn, with it’s gently floating leaves, enhanced color palette, and revitalized gardens is an art lesson waiting to be interpreted. I have always told clients that if the color palette works in nature, it can work in your interior environment as well. I love bringing autumn inside, styling with fairy tale pumpkins, wispy, feathery grasses and pink celosia. I gather wild flowers, curling branches, and tree bark on walks through Fairmount Park along the Wissahickon Creek. Mini, temporary still life installations; such a lovely and festive way to enhance a space.
