Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Garden Tours

Pennsylvania Horticultural Society is one of the true treasures of Philadelphia.  President (and beloved friend) Drew Becher became the 36th President of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society in 2010. Under his leadership, PHS has initiated the Plant One Million campaign to restore the region’s tree canopy; expanded the City Harvest program, which provides fresh produce to more than 1,000 families in need each week during the growing season; initiated the PHS Pop Up Garden projects; and introduced exciting new features at the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show.  The photos in this post are from the PHS garden spring and fall garden tours.  Along with Drew, Eric Lochner, Jeff Regan and yours truly had an amazing time touring the mostly private gardens.  The boys particularly loved the bocci court!  Consider becoming a member of PHS today.  All of us should care about the wonderful things they are doing for our city and its inhabitants.  The donkey is a rescue!  He was very curious.
